After watching him make several vehicle code violations and pulled him over, Ceres Police arrested a 27-year-old Modesto man for drunken driving early Sunday.

At approximately 1:46 a.m., Officer Aaron Pinon was driving westbound on Service Road near Blaker Road. In front of him was a blue Ford Expedition driven by someone who wasn’t following the law. Officer Pinon turned on his emergency lights but the driver was slow to pull over. Eventually the suspect pulled over Tranquil Lane and Lexar Drive.

Officer Pinon contacted driver Edward Sibaja, 27, of Modesto, who reeked of the smell of alcohol. Officer Pinon began a DUI investigation, and arrested Sibaja for DUI. A breath test showed his blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit.
