DUI & hit-and-run arrest made on Malik

A 21-year-old driver from Modesto faces charges of drunken driving and hit-and-run after a Saturday evening crash in the area of Pompei Lane and Allacante Drive.

The crash was reported at 10:46 p.m. with the driver responsible for the damage taking off in a tan colored Chevrolet pickup. Sgt. Vince Hooper located the pickup in the 2800 block of Malik Avenue.

After a DUI investigation, Officer Aaron Pinon arrested Julian Alvarez-Ceja for DUI and hit-and-run.
