A citizen’s report of a man driving his car allegedly while drunken led to the arrest of 23-year-old Modesto resident Elliott Ramirez the day after Christmas.

The arrest occurred at the McDonald’s at Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road.

At 8:09 p.m. Officer Aaron Pinon was dispatched for a report of a man who appeared to be drinking and driving a black Chevrolet Malibu. Community Service Officer (CSO) David McCann was in the area and spotted the vehicle driving through the parking lot toward the Whitmore Avenue exit. Ramirez drove his car into a curb and a large rock at the exit.

Officer Pinon noticed Ramirez appeared intoxicated by alcohol and gave a field sobriety test in which the driver performed poorly. Ramirez was placed under arrest for DUI.
