A Ceres driver who was pulled over by an officer for being "all over the road" was combative through every step of his arrest and booking on Friday evening.

An officer stopped Rafael Vazquez, 41, of Ceres, in the area of Whitmore and Central avenues at 11:41 p.m. Vazquez was reportedly so intoxicated that he could not even start a field sobriety test.

At the hospital, where his blood was being drawn for evidence, Vazquez reportedly kicked a nurse causing injury. Because he continued to be uncooperative and combative, said Lt. Perry, the officer had to "drive stunned" with a Taser.

At the Stanislaus County Jail where he was booked for DUI and assault, Vazquez was eventdefiant with jailers' staff.
