A driver with a blood alcohol content of .20 led Ceres Police on a short pursuit from Ceres into Modesto on Sunday evening.

An officer was on patrol at 9 p.m. in the 2500 block of Mitchell Road when he saw a blue Saturn with a possible drunken driver behind the wheel. He followed the car and watched as it nearly crashed into an oncoming car. The officer tried to stop the driver who continued over the Mitchell Road bridge to El Vista and Yosemite Boulevard. At Miller Avenue, driver Richard Fedorowicz, 59, of Modesto, threw his car in reverse and ran into the patrol car, causing minor damage. The officer removed the driver from the car who was so intoxicated that he could not complete his field sobriety test.

Fedorowicz was arrested and booked on charges of DUI and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
