An 18-year-old Modesto teen was arrested Wednesday evening, Oct. 8 after he rounded a corner in his car and nearly struck a Ceres police patrol vehicle.
At 10:31 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Angel Murillo was patrolling the area of Valente Way near Acacia Street when he observed a Toyota Prius lose control while turning and nearly collided into his patrol vehicle. Officer Murillo stopped the driver, Trinidad Delgado, 18, of Modesto, and instantly detected the objective signs and symptoms of someone under the influence of alcohol. Through the DUI investigation, Delgado failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. A breath samples showed that he was over double the legal limit of alcohol to drive. Delgado was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for DUI.
