Expired tags lead to DUI arrest

When a Ceres Police officer pulled over the driver of a car with expired registration tags Friday evening, a discovery was made that the man behind the wheel was inebriated.

At 11:38 p.m. Officer Miguel Villalobos stopped the vehicle at Hatch and Mitchell roads and detected that driver Roberto Ramos Roberto, 41, of Modesto, appeared drunk. Roberto failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. At the time of the arrest, his blood alcohol content was .23 percent BAC. He was booked for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent and driving with a suspended license.
