Felon Julio Munoz, 26, was arrested Sunday morning after he was stopped by Officer Lorenzo Beltran and found with a loaded Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun.

During the 2:12 a.m. traffic stop at 2420 Mitchell Road, Officer Beltran noted that the driver was on probation and driving on a suspended drivers' license. The car was searched and the loaded gun was found.

Munoz, who has prior gun convictions, went to jail on the new gun charges.
