William Tumblin, 51, of Modesto, was taken to jail on Monday, Jan. 19 after he gave a Ceres police officer somebody else's name after he was pulled over for making an illegal U-turn.

Tumblin was eastbound in front of 1415 Hatch Road and made the illegal move at 4:03 p.m. Tumblin, who had a suspended drivers' license, gave the officer a name of someone else. The officer was suspicious when Tumblin gave a date of birth that made him younger than he appeared. After he was searched, an ID card was found revealing his true identity.

Charges of identity theft and possession of a suspended license are being filed against Tumblin.
