A warming fire that caught grass on fire in the 1600 block of Mitchell Road ended with the responsible man being cited for arson on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

A grass fire was reported at 11:45 a.m. Police showed up with firefighters to find a homeless man, Carlos Martinez, 38, standing in the middle of a circle of charcoal briquettes that he set fire to stay warm. The fire was put out.

Martinez was cited for arson.
