A 56-year-old Ceres man was arrested Sunday in the parking lot of the abandoned Walmart site at Hatch and Mitchell roads on a felony warrant for his arrest related to narcotics and trespassing.

At 6:59 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the parking lot and recognized Kevin DeHart in a homeless encampment and knew of his warrant.

Officer Souza made the arrest and booked DeHart into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
