A heavily intoxicated man who was on the roof of an apartment he had previously been ordered by the courts to stay away from was arrested Thursday evening.

Ceres Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Hollister Street at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20 with the report that a man was violating an restraining order and causing a disturbance.  When police arrived, they found Juan Carlos Cuevas, 35, of Ceres, on the roof of the apartments rambling and not making sense. Officers coaxed Cuevas down and determined that he was under the influence and unable to care for himself. He was arrested for public intoxication and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
