A 59-year-old Ceres man was arrested early Thursday after he threatened to kill his brother with a stick after becoming enraged over the fact that his bedroom didn’t have cable TV, Ceres Police reported.

A physical fight between Arturo Flores and his brother got so out of hand that police were called at 4:52 a.m. Officer Lydia Prieto responded to the residence in the 2400 block of Whitmore Avenue. Flores was armed with a stick and threatening to kill his brother. During the investigation it was determined Flores was upset because his room did not have cable. Flores reportedly broke into his brother’s room, battered his brother and threatened to kill him.

Flores was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for battery, vandalism and making terrorist threats.
