The Wendy's drive-thru lane on Hatch Road was the scene of a high-risk traffic stop made on two juvenile boys who were riding in a stolen vehicle on Thursday, May 29.

At 12:05 a.m. Detective Jason Brock with the Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force (StanCATT) requested the aid of Ceres police officers in helping him find a stolen car that he lost sight of as it was travelling westbound on Hatch Road from Central Avenue. A search turned up the stolen Honda in the restaurant drive-thru lane.

Two Ceres boys, aged 15 and 16, were removed from the car at gunpoint and arrested on charges of auto theft and possession of stolen property.

In an unrelated case, four persons from the Bay Area were arrested Sunday morning when an officer picked up on a signal emitted by a LoJack anti-theft device and located the stolen vehicle.

All four admitted to Officer James Riley that they took turns driving in the stolen Honda Accord after he found it being refueled at the Chevron station at Hatch and Herndon at 3:45 a.m.

The four suspects, all residents of Hayward, were arrested for auto theft and possession of stolen property. They were Stephen Crockett, 25, Justin Lee, 18, Sabrina Toilolo, 20, and a 15-year-old boy.
