Keyes man arrested in stolen pickup

A 29-year-old Keyes man who was released from prison under the state's controversial Post Release Control Supervision, was arrested in a stolen vehicle on Friday morning.

At 11:44 a.m. Officer Charles Rushing was driving southbound on Mitchell Road approaching Fowler when he saw a white pickup truck pull into the Chevron gas station. Rushing checked the license plate and found it to be reported stolen in Turlock. Additional officers were called to assist in a high-risk stop.

Driver Joshua Best, 29, of Keyes, was transported to jail and booked for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools. His passenger, Alyssa Piferemens, 21, of Turlock, had a warrant for her arrest.
