A 46-year-old Modesto man was removed from a stolen vehicle at gunpoint Sunday afternoon in the Home Depot parking lot.

At approximately 3:03 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Charles Lord-Huff was in the parking lot when he spotted a white Nissan pickup driving through the parking lot and learned it was reported as stolen.

Driver Javier Viorato, 46, of Modesto was removed from the vehicle and arrested for auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle and was transported to the Public Safety Center.
