Gabriel Bonales, 22, of Modesto, was arrested early Sunday morning for DUI and hit and run as he was walking from the scene of a crash into a fence he allegedly hit at 3305 Central Avenue.

The crash was reported at 4:06 a.m. Officers responded and located the vehicle but the driver was gone. A search produced the suspect walking down the street. Bonales was reportedly extremely intoxicated and unable to perform a field sobriety test. He was taken to Doctors Medical Center for blood draw.
