A 32-year-old Ceres man was arrested after he allegedly bashed in the window on his girlfriend’s car Friday evening in a fit of rage.

At 11:48 p.m. Officer Charles Rushing was dispatched to the 1900 block of Darrah Street where a 36-year-old woman showed her car which had been vandalized by ex-boyfriend Alejandro Vargas-Gervacio, 32, of Ceres. She reported that the suspect came to her home to accuse her of seeing other men. After the two argued,

Vargas-Gervacio picked up a metal pipe and began breaking the windows. He fled the area. Officers checked the immediate area for him but he wasn’t found.

At 2 a.m. Saturday morning, Officer Rushing drove back to the address to conduct a security check and found Alejandro’s parked in the alleyway. He was hiding in his vehicle and ordered to come out. Vargas-Gervacio was arrested without incident on charges of felony vandalism.
