An early Sunday shooting in the 900 block of Willow Lake Way left a 41-year-old man in critical but stable condition and sent Ceres Police scurrying to track down the details and hunt for the responsible.

Ceres Police said their investigation is ongoing and did not release many details.

The shooting was reported at 12:39 a.m. in the Westpointe area of Ceres. When officers arrived they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First-responders from Modesto Fire Department and American Medical Response provided medical aid and transported the man to a local hospital for treatment.
