A 41-year-old Ceres man who was wanted to stand charges for theft was arrested Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 15.

Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was familiar with the arrest warrants of Johnny Qualls, whom he spotted riding a bicycle in the area of Lavon Lane and Lynley Drive. Souza stopped to make the arrest at 3:04 p.m. and took Qualls for booking in the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
