One of three men wanted for a March 28 home invasion robbery in Ceres was arrested last week in Fresno.
Jorge Gomes-Moraila, 36, was arrested July 11 by Fresno Police Department’s Metro Investigations Unit and turned over to Ceres Police detectives. He was was transported back to Stanislaus County and booked into the Public Safety Center on felony charges including robbery, kidnapping, carjacking, and child endangerment.
On March 28, the Ceres Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call from an occupant in the 1400 block of Hackett Road where a man forced his way into the home and stole a vehicle. Officers learned there were at least three subjects involved. The stolen vehicle was located the next morning outside of Ceres by the California Highway Patrol.
Ceres Police detectives have been actively investigating the robbery and were able to identify Gomes-Moraila.
