Metal thieves strike two Ceres schools

The public's help is needed to make arrests in two separate cases of metal theft at two schools on Central Avenue over Memorial Day weekend.

When school employees returned to work on Tuesday, May 26, they learned that the air conditioning unit behind classroom H-104 at Central Valley High School was completely removed.

Police have no suspect leads.
Over the same weekend, thieves broke into Patricia "Kay" Beaver Elementary School farther south on Central Avenue and dismantled copper condenser coils from four HVAC units. The damage was estimated at $1,500.
