A 28-year-old Modesto woman was arrested and booked on charges of DUI and hit and run early Tuesday, Nov. 17 after she allegedly hit a parked car and left the scene on Lawrence Street.

Ceres Police received a call at 1:52 a.m. about a domestic fight in the 3000 block of Tenth Street but when officers arrived the woman involved had left in an orange Camaro. Officer Brian Chandler began searching the area for the Chevy and located it parked illegally on Lawrence and Fourth streets with extensive front end damage and a flat tire. He found driver Eva Silva appeared to be intoxicated. She claimed that she had hit a curb but Sgt. Travis Hudson located a Ford Mustang parked in the 2500 block of Lawrence Street with moderate damage to the left front end. There was also an orange paint transfer onto the grey Mustang.

Officer Chandler conducted a DUI investigation and placed Silva under arrest for DUI and hit and run. In addition, she was found to have a felony warrant for her arrest.
