Police took a report on burglary of three more storage units at the Extra Space Storage at 1780 Mitchell Road, bringing the rash of burglaries to about 20 in the month.

At 2:47 p.m. on Dec. 21 police were made aware of thefts occurring at the facility. The thieves broke into units and replaced the locks with their own so they could access them, said Ceres Police Department spokesman Lt. Chris Perry.

Police believe that two separate crews have been involved in the thefts based on information supplied by the lone suspect to be arrested thus far. On Dec. 19 Christopher Suazo, 33, of Modesto, was caught in the act and detained.

"We think we have suspects identified and we have made one arrest so far," said Lt. Perry. "We think there are two separate crews."

The rash of break-ins into storage units started on Nov. 30 and also included A-1 U-Stor facility at 3201 E. Hatch Road, Extra Space Storage at 1780 Mitchell Road, and AAA Self Storage at 1777 Kinser Road.
