A  man familiar to Ceres Police found himself in the Stanislaus County Jail on Sunday after an officer arrested him for a drug warrant.

Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the 4200 block of Mitchell Road at 1:06 a.m. and spotted Earl Chapman, 59, of Ceres in the parking lot of the Union 76 gas station at 4217 Mitchell Road. Officer Souza knew of Chapman’s felony arrest warrant related to a narcotics charge. Officer Souza arrested Chapman and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
