Pair arrested in theft of electric wheelchair

Richard Holland and Reuben Sanchez were arrested July 18 and charged with grand theft in connection with the theft of a motorized wheelchair.

Two Ceres men were arrested for grand theft and possession of the stolen property after they allegedly stole an electric wheelchair in the 3800 block of Dale Court on Wednesday morning, July 13.

The victim called police at 6:15 a.m. Officer Matthew Myers spotted a wheelchair matching the description of the one stolen in the 2100 block of Shushan Drive. After his investigation Officer Myers arrested Richard Holland, 54, and Reuben Sanchez, 37, both of Ceres, and booked them into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. 

Sanchez faces the added charge of possession of suspected Fentanyl.
