Two Ceres men were arrested the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 1 when they were discovered sitting in an industrial area a parked car with two scales, a large bag of mushrooms and a small amount of concentrated cannabis.

At 10:04 p.m. Officer Derek Perry spotted the suspicious vehicle occupied by two men parked at far west end of Oates Court near some loading docks. The occupants gave consent for a search and were found with the illegal drugs.

Rudy Campusano, 23, and Michael Chavez, 24, both of Ceres, claimed ownership and were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and transporting a controlled substance.
