Parole violator tries to run but us caught by police
Ceres Cop Car

A Ceres man who was wanted for violating the terms of his parole was captured on Thursday after he tried to run from police.

An officer was on patrol at 11:57 a.m. and spotted Damian Bartlett, 29, of Ceres, riding a bicycle near 2506 Seventh Street. The officer tried to stop Bartlett since he was known as violating his parole. Bartlett saw the officer and took off running, jumping a backyard fence. He eventually ended up on the property at 2506 ½ Seventh Street.

An older occupant of the house came out and told officers that Bartlett was inside. Officer Julio Amador arrived with canine Tyson and made an announcement that if Bartlett didn't exit the building that Tyson would be sent in. Bartlett came out and was arrested without incident.

Bartlett was arrested for parole violation and resisting arrest.
