An August 1 traffic stop for code violations resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old passenger who was wanted for two felony counts of auto theft.

At 11:15 a.m., Officer Aaron Pinon was patrolling the 800 block of Central Avenue when he stopped the driver of a Honda Accord. During a routine records check the officer learned that passenger Paul Taylor of Modesto had two felony warrants for vehicle theft. He was arrested and booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
