A 42-year-old Patterson woman was taken into custody early Saturday on a felony warrant for her arrest.

Teena Velez, 42, of Patterson was found sitting inside a Kia Optima parked on the side of the road in the area of Richland Avenue and Darby Lane. At 2:31 a.m. Officer Eric Souza checked out the car since he knew the owner had a felony warrant for her arrest.

Officer Souza arrested Velez and booked her into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
