Police investigate shot fired inside Rivercreek Drive home

A handgun was confiscated by police on Monday morning, Jan. 23 after it was discharges in a home in the 2700 block of Rivercreek Drive under suspicious circumstances.

Officers arrived at 10:37 a.m. and called everyone out of the house. Police determined that a woman fired the gun while in an upstairs bedroom. She provided two different versions, first saying that she dropped the gun and it went off. She later said she was rummaging through a drawer and the gun discharged. Nobody was hurt and since there were no other occupants in the bedroom at the time the gun was fired, officers were unable to determine what happened

A male was found to be wanted and was arrested.
