Ceres Police and paramedics came to the aid of a man who was unresponsive and having a medical emergency in a locked car Saturday afternoon.

The man was reported to 911 dispatchers at 2:30 p.m. He was seen in medical distress while in the car in the area of Larrynell Drive and Kinser Road. Officers saw the man needed quick help so they broke out a window to get to him. After finding him completely unresponsive, Officer Jeremy Caron administered a dose of Narcan, the brand name for naloxone that blocks the effects of an opioid.

The victim regained consciousness and began communicating with the officers. Medical personnel arrived and took over his care.
