Ceres Police are searching for a driver they say deliberately struck a pedestrian with whom he has been feuding over a woman.

Police were called to an injury crash at Pine Street at Harold Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The victim was on the sidewalk, suffering from moderate injuries after being struck by a gray 2007 Toyota Avalon (license plate 6AWY453). Police were told by the victim that the driver was Ramsey Moore and the car belongs to Moore's grandfather. The victim claims Moore has been seeing his girlfriend recently and that he and Moore recently had a confrontation over her. The victim said when he was crossing Pine Street on foot, Moore accelerated toward him with screeching tires, and struck him before fleeing westbound on Pine Street.

Moore is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and is at large. If anyone has information on the case or knows of Moore's whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact Detective Bryan Ferreira at 538-5616.
