Police discovered an illegal indoor marijuana growing operation at 3201 Suffolk Drive after a 17-year-old was assaulted by the alleged teenage grower for not paying a $200 debt for a pot transaction on Sunday evening.

A 911 call was made at 7:49 p.m. about a fight in the 3300 block of Parisburg Lane. Officers found the victim with a large cut to his elbow. During their investigation they learned that the teen had been in a fight with another 17-year-old who came over to collect $200 for an alleged prior marijuana transaction but didn't collect. That led police to the suspect around the corner on Suffolk Drive where they located a a large marijuana grow. A search warrant was served and 80 plants were seized, along with one AR-15 assault rifle, a 9mm handgun, several pounds of processed marijuana and over $12,000 cash.

The house was deemed unsafe due to out-of-code wiring used to power the lights in the growing operation.

The teen was arrested and charged.
