Report of reckless driving nets DUI arrest
Ceres Cop Car

A citizen's 9-1-1 call to report a white Chevy Tahoe running stop lights and hitting the curb as it traveled westbound on Hatch Road resulted in a DUI arrest on Friday morning.

As the female was on the phone to dispatchers at 11:10 a.m., she saw the Tahoe hit another vehicle but neither vehicle stopped. The caller continued to follow the Tahoe until it was intercepted by Officer Ron Collins. He stopped driver, Susana Espinoza-Gonzalez, 37, of Modesto, and conducted a DUI investigation. Collins determined the driver was intoxicated and had a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of .21 percent. She was arrested and booked into jail for DUI and DUI with a BAC above .08 percent.

The other vehicle involved in the collision was never found.
