A 44-year-old Ceres man was arrested Friday morning, Jan. 8 after he was found asleep in the backyard of a residence in violation of a restraining order to go near it or its occupants.

The occupants of the home in the 1900 block of Glen Harbor called police at 8:40 a.m. after spotting Julio Sarabia in the yard. They said they know Sarabia but that a judge issued an order that he was to stay away from the residence and the people inside.

Officer Julio Amador took Sarabia into custody and booked him on the charge of trespassing and violating a restraining order.
