A 46-year-old Ceres woman believed to be using methamphetamine inside the McDonald’s restaurant on Mitchell Road Wednesday afternoon, June 19 was arrested and booked on drug charges.

A manager of the store called police at 3:02 p.m. to report that a woman had occupied the restroom for over an hour, had disrobed and yelled at patrons as they tried to use the restroom. Officer Coey Henson and Sgt. Vince Hooper arrived to find an Ontel Security guard was talking to Christina Diaz to get her to leave but she refused. After giving her ample time to comply, the officers entered and placed her under arrest for trespassing.

Officer Henson booked her into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for trespassing. But a short time later, jail staff contacted Ceres Police Department to state that Diaz had suspected methamphetamine hidden in her bra and was being charged with bringing a controlled substance into jail.
