A 45-year-old Ceres man was arrested Sunday morning after an officer pulled him over for committing a vehicle code violation on a stolen motorcycle.
At 10:35 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Angel Murillo was patrolling the area of Garrison Street and Moffett Road when he stopped Kalem Shamgochian, 45, of Ceres on a red-colored Honda motorcycle and saw that a screwdriver was jammed into the ignition. Dispatchers did a records check and relayed to the officer that the motorcycle was reported stolen.
Shamgochian was arrested on auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle charges and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
