Ceres Police are investigating the Saturday armed robbery of the AM/PM mini mart at the corner of Mitchell and Service roads.

The robber walked into the store at 5:55 p.m. armed with a handgun aimed at the clerk. He demanded cash and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen riding away on a bicycle westbound on Service Road.

Police did not find the man but a canine was able to locate the bike as well as the black beanie cap and black jacket he was wearing during the crime.

The suspect was described as a white male of thin build with a beard. Anyone with information that could help detectives is appreciated by calling 538-5727.
