A 25-year-old man from West Sacramento faces four counts of robbery, one instance of yanking a necklace off a woman in Ceres.
Ceres Police detectives identified and arrested Bryan Gusman the day after he allegedly committed three robberies. He was apprehended in Modesto on May 21 with the help of detectives there and found in possession of several gold chains and a loaded handgun.
Ceres Police say Gusman was in a grocery store in the 1600 block of Hatch Road and removed the necklace from the woman before pushing a female employee, hurdling her into shelving. Gusman, they say, broke the automatic sliding entry doors in a dash to flee.
The officers who arrived were also notified that the same suspect pulled off a similar robbery at another business across the street.
Detectives learned that Gusman was also responsible for a third robbery in the same area a week earlier. Officers were able to identify the vehicle used in his escape and detectives were able to track him down.
Once his identity was confirmed, an arrest was made.
Gusman is charged with three counts of robbery in the Ceres and one count of robbery in Modesto.
