Service Road church vandalized

Detectives are hoping the public can lead them to the persons who spray-painted graffiti onto the side of a Service Road church last week.

Officer Jon Vera drove to Gospel Tabernacle at 1401 Service Road for a 4:42 a.m. security check on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Vera was checking on the church air conditioning unit since they are frequently the target of metal thieves and found fresh graffiti on the building. Someone painted "Lust is King" and "Santa exists" in addition to a goat head and a pentagram.

There are no suspects but anyone with information is urged to call the Detectives Bureau at 538-5725 or Crime Stoppers at 521-4636 or text a message as "Tip 704" plus your message to 274637.
