Johnathon Sutherland, 24, was detained by Walmart store loss prevention officers for shop lifting on Saturday evening but also booked for providing false information to an officer and violating the terms of his probation.

Sutherland was apprehended at 6 p.m. at the Hatch Road store and gave Officer Thomas Miller with a fake name. During the investigation, Miller discovered Sutherland's true name and that he was on probation. Sutherland was booked for shoplifting, providing false information to a peace officer, and for a probation violation.
