Shots find victim on Darrah Street

Police are hoping to arrest the Hispanic man who opened fire and shot several times a man visiting friends on Darrah Street on Sunday evening.

Officers investigating the 10 p.m. shooting say the shots were fired without provocation as the victim was standing in the 1600 block of Darrah Street. Within minutes the victim, a 34-year-old Hispanic male, called 911 to report being shot by an unknown assailant.

The gunman was approximately 18 years old.

The victim suffered two potentially life-threatening wounds and was being treated at a local hospital.
