A 33-year-old Modesto man who was sleeping in a car parked on a Ceres street was arrested early yesterday morning on a warrant.

At 1:33 a.m., Officer Eric Souza was providing extra patrol in the area of Sandpoint and Fairview drives when he made contact with people asleep in a car. Aaron Frings, 33, of Modesto advised the officer that he was wanted on a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance for sales and a misdemeanor warrant for battery.

Frings was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
