A high-risk traffic stop on a stolen car Thursday evening netted the arrest of a 30-year-old Ceres man.
Ceres Police Officer Aaron Pinon was on patrol at 10:31 p.m. through the area of Mitchell and Hatch roads when he followed a white BMW 430i that proved to be stolen. Officer Pinon followed the driver while waiting for backup officers and made the stop in the area of Claus and Garst roads.
Driver Joshua Claudio, 30, of Ceres was removed from the vehicle and arrested for auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
