Joshua Gaynor, 26, of Turlock, was arrested and booked for vehicle theft after an officer pulled him over for not wearing a helmet and learned that the 2014 Honda Dual Sport motorcycle he was on was stolen.

Gaynor was patrolling on Collins Road at 3:27 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11 when he spotted Gaynor and pulled him over on Hemlock Avenue. Dispatchers reported quickly that the Honda had been reported stolen in Modesto.

Gaynor was cooperative and detained. The officer called the registered owner and said that the suspect had met him earlier to discuss the sale when Josh jumped on it and rode off.
