A woman stopped on Tuesday, Dec. 26 for a variety of traffic violations told Ceres Police Sgt. Travis Hudson that she had hit a vehicle just prior, even though no accident reports had been filed.
During the 3:15 p.m. traffic stop, a citizen pulled up and identified Marilyn Hernandez as having just hit another vehicle on Crows Landing Road before fleeing at a high rate of speed. Hernandez admitted to hitting the car before fleeing but a check with the Sheriff's Department and Modesto Police turned up no reports of any hit-and-run crashes.
Hernandez possessed neither a state-issued ID nor a driver's license so her vehicle was towed and she was cited.
