A 45-year-old Santa Cruz man was picked up in Ceres Friday due to his warrant.

Officer Charles Rushing was dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the 1800 block of Preston Court. Upon arrival, he found Cal Blakely who had an active felony warrant issued by the California Department of Corrections.

Blakely was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
