Amanda Melendez, 19, of Patterson, was cited and released for allegedly stealing $166 worth of several clothing items into a large black bag that she carried into the Ceres Kmart store on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Store security watched Melendez attempt the theft and walk out of the store and called police at 7:43 p.m.
