Roger Swart, 43, of Ceres, was arrested Friday evening after a loss prevention officer at Walmart saw him placing several items in a backpack that included body spray.

At 8:14 p.m. Swart was arrested for theft and it was learned too that he failed to register as a sex offender on his birthday.
